I’ve been a teacher for a long time and access to resources is always a problem, especially in the neighborhood where I work. When I switched schools a few years ago to a new district, I realized right away that the students here were extremely underserved in terms of access to a public library.
My students needed a library, so I started one in my garage! That was one year ago and now we’ve got a fully stocked mini neighborhood library to support not only my students, but everyone from the local area.
We offer checkout services as well as host monthly book give-aways.
